PvE heal bar?
So, after monking my way to R3, I decided to come back to PvE.
Now, I have a big headache, what is a good heal bar for PvE??!?!
I tried putting together my own bar, but none of them really worked; PvP bars are not really good for pve.
So, I have a question for the monks, what do you guys run for PvE?

Before you jump the gun, I know GoLE was nerfed. That does not, however, mean that it is no longer a good skill. I still like it and it works for me very well.

PvP prot bars work well enough for PvE. Just remember to bring Prot Spirit.

If you go pure heal bar, HB or LoD/WoH with Holy Haste should be good. And if you have HB or Holy Haste, Rebirth or any other res skill is a joke compare to Res Chant.

Prot Spirit and LoD/HP are great skills for PvE. Whatever you decide to run, make sure you have those.
I usually heroway, so here is what I run. It works well:
Me -- usually a thumper, burning ranger, or a warrior of some kind
Mhorgan - 12+2 spear, 11+1 lead, 6+1 com -- lit spear, CRUEL, disrupting, anth flame, go for eyes, burn refrian, agg refrain, sig return
Dunky - 8+1 div, 10+1 heal, 12+2 prot -- goh, mend cond, rof, ps, soa, DIVERT, gle, aegis
Melanni -- 12+2 scythe, 12+1 myst -- dblow, wearying, victorious, chilling, heart of fury, MELANDRU, imbue, sig
+
Herta - Aoe damage, wards
Cynn - aoe damage
Sologon -- defense, healing, cond removal...plus he adds damage and buffs your other paras echos
Kihlm -- she is as good as most ZBs
Together, you have 4 physical toons spreading lots of burning, multiple interrupters, 2 aoe nukers + the scythe, and lots of defense -- sologon will take most of the conditions, dunky will take the hexes, and 2 copies of PS will prevent most boss instagibs. The only thing I would like is a heal party, but sologon is as close as you can get to that without sacrificing a damage dealer.
I have used this build to successfully heroway the entire game in all three chapters, excluding elite missions.
Enjoy!

As more and more skills come into play, more and more hexes and enchantments come to play. I don't think anyone will disagree that Dwayna's Kiss deserves a spot on any healing monks bar.

When it comes to just your basic healing all you need is 6 skill on your bar if you want to get technical about it then more would be better.

Healing Light outclasses Ethereal Light, so you can probably replace that with Protective Spirit or Healing Seed.
Maintaining Vigorous Spirit on people is a pain, and if you have to keep it on more than 2 or 3 people, you might have to go for Aegis instead, and change your attributes for that.

I'd probably go prot; hero/hench monks or rits do fine at healing but suck at Prot, and Prot is extremely effective. And you still have Zealous Benediction and Gift of Health for heals if Mhenlo decides to be a retard.
Healing Light is an elite so you can't really compare it to Ethereal Light. And Ethereal Light isn't that useable without Holy Haste or Healer's Boon.

[Skill]Word of healing[/Skill][Skill]Signet of rejuvenation[/Skill][Skill]Protective spirit[/Skill][Skill]Shielding hands[/Skill][Skill]Heal party[/Skill]or[Skill]Aegis[/Skill][Skill]Dismiss conditions[/Skill][Skill]Holy veil[/Skill][Skill]Rebirth[/Skill]
Atts are...
16 heal
10 prot
10 divine favor
This build is serving me well and has done in various forms since the begining of gw's.. I hotswap HP/aegis depending on area (in melee/ranger aegis is sickeningly useful).
I know its not pure heal but you may find that the combination of skills in here will deal with all situations
Finally this build rarely uses its energy up quickly at all, because I use the siggy its very easy on the energy.
I find pure healers restrictive in the harder level area's as alot of damage is better mitigated than restored Its why i use a hybrid.
I sometimes monk with a mate and he runs a build I came up with to tag-team with.
[Skill]Light of deliverance[/Skill][Skill]Signet of rejuvenation[/Skill][Skill]Spirit bond[/Skill][Skill]Shield of absorption[/Skill][Skill]healing seed[/Skill][Skill]Dismiss conditions[/Skill][Skill]Holy veil[/Skill][Skill]Rebirth[/Skill]
Healing 16
prot 10
divine favor 10
These 2 monks in tandem I have found can deal with absolutely anything thrown at them barring DOA (which requires a whole differant approach).
So use the first one if you are alone.. twin up with the other if you have a monk friend
*edit* any reason why my build codes aren't working?

and u need small S in skill
or [skill]Word of Healing[/skill]
its very tempramental, it want u to b 110% not 100%

[skill]Word of healing[/skill][skill]Ethereal Light[/skill][skill]Orison Of Healing[/skill][skill]Dwayna's Kiss[/skill][skill]Signet of Rejuvenation[/skill][skill]Dismiss Condition[/skill][skill]Remove Hex[/skill][skill]Rebirth[/skill]
This is a modified build from a tombs build I was given way back. I know it lacks party-wide healing, but I find that so long as you know how to position yourself so you aren't under consant attack (so you can use Ethereal Light freely) then it's awesome. The boosts to SoR made this an awesome build to use, although currently Im experimenting with a Blessed Light build on my PvE Monk.
That build also seems to have no problem with E-Management.

I usually run a couple variants of a WoH build.
[skill]Watchful Healing[/skill][skill]Word of Healing[/skill][skill]Dwayna's Kiss[/skill][skill]Healing Seed[/skill][skill]Remove Hex[/skill][skill]Signet of Rejuvenation[/skill][skill]Ethereal Light[/skill][skill]Resurrection Chant[/skill]
Its a good build in most circumstances unless you're in a condition heavy area, then you can swap Ethereal Light for a condition removal like [skill]Dismiss Condition[/skill]
Also if you're in an area where you know you'll face a lot of enemies at the same time (Vizunah mission in Factions for example), swapping Ethereal Light for [skill]Signet of Devotion[/skill] can help with energy management. Just don't rely on it much since the two second casting time isn't useful if you need to quickly heal someone before they die. Also unless its an area like FoW, I rarely bring Rebirth or I check with the other monk so only one of us is carrying it. Losing all energy in the middle of battle is pointless for a monk so either have one bring it or both bring a different res and leave any rebirthing to a caster that can afford to cast it without it putting the party at risk of a failed mission, etc just because you can't heal.

I honestly feel like WoH bars are more worse in PvE since there are generally lower amounts of spike damage (unless you're playing with someone who's endgame but still wearing starter armor ). HB or LoD are the way to go for me, with HB your basic heals work quite well, especially dwayna's kiss. I usually run something like olly123's bar. If you need a large 200hp heal, take heal other with you along with HB, it'll get the job done.
